CHIP GIANT Intel is to sponsor Toyota Motorsport with the first Chipzilla branded car to race in Cologne on the 17th of January.

And the car will be emblazoned with the Itanium 2 logo round about the place where AMD's logo is on Ferrari F1 cars.

The drivers and the other members of the team will also be branded with the Itanic logo, it appears.

Mike Fister, Intel's senior VP of the enterprise group, said that the decision to associate the Intel Itanium 2 and the Toyota F1 team was "a natureal one".
