ITU cancels Europe

SPINNERS from the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in Geneva say there will be no party at Sofia, Bulgaria, this December.

In their own words: "The ITU Telecom board of directors recommended the cancellation of Europe."

The directors also introduced a "raft of new measures". It is pressing ahead with ITU Telecom events in Africa and Asia in 2008. µ
