Out of the vast selection of games available for the Xbox 360, Infinity Ward's title has sold more in terms of both raw dollars and number of cartridges. That's right, more than Madden! Who'd a thunk it? With competition that stiff, it's like winning a shouting match with a mime.
Robin Kaminsky, Head of Global Brand Management at Activision goes on to say, "In fact, the performance of all four of our Xbox 360 titles has resulted in significant market share for Activision on the new console." Wow. With four titles out of fewer than twenty on the new console, wouldn't at least one fifth of the market share be significant and fully expected?
To be fair, it should be noted that more than three quarters of Xbox owners out there also have a copy of CoD2. But with bundling efforts at the cash register and that fact that you have to buy at least one game to make the console any real use, should these numbers come as any surprise?
