Largest Windows cock-up ever happens

THE MILLING masses in Times Square, New York, were given the chance to see one of the world's largest Windows crashes over the weekend.

The two-storey electronic billboard in the square when belly up, froze and then up came a giant Windows error message.

Adam Gaffin happened to be in the square and snapped a picture of the message for posterity. It can be seen here.

Apparently if you look at the icon on the title bar it seems that the whole thing was caused by a Direct X error. µ
