Lord Browne stepped down from Intel's board

Not so surprising, really

INTEL CONFIRMED yesterday that Lord Browne of BP stepped down as a member of its board last November.

BP and Intel have had a long connection. We reported back in 2003 that the firm installed 259 Itanium II clusters running on the Linux OS.

At that time BP had no plans to adopteron the Opteron. That position may have changed since. µ
