Hedgehogs in Speedos
Well we had a visit from Mrs. Flashman yet again, in a way. She posted part one in the ongoing series of Hedgehogs
in Speedos. As to the Forum as the Parrot is to the Inquirer. We stayed on track for most of a day, discussing
hedgehogs, Mrs. Flashy, and treading terribly close to the subject that is verboten. Come day two that dirty Minded
Scoundrel Frnht started talking about his ideal Femgeek. Completely degrading the thread into crude innuendos and
onanism.
You'll love this one... I didn't understand post one from Mr. G, nor the thread that followed. Nothing, not one bit, well ok I understood my post, but it had nothing to do with the thread. Hermie has been talking about Harold allot this week; I think we now know what caused that shortness of breath. Mornington Bloody Crescent Well Dr. Spinola, one of our moderators, got a little fed up with loads of gaff posts just mentioning Underground stations. Although in his infinite compassion he created a folder for that purpose, where it could be ignored easily. There was a little humored revolt, and then SDMAHANEY, and WHITEKNAVE started a very brief bout of Penn Station Crescent. The thread then took of, for a moment, with a mention of fake downtowns. We examined some of the more raucous towns of the US, such as Buffalo (one of the many mistakes on the Lake) and Novi.
We've all been there - what would you do We had all thought this thread had died a well deserved death until GHC brought it back to life on Wednesday. Somehow the thread moved on to discussion of Sabrina the Teenage witch, and other semi-Shakespearian like television shows. Some brief cross thread MC posts ok maybe not so brief. GHC and SGF2 threw in some girly talk around Thursday. Briefly it moved on too some women hating posts for about 6 threads. GHC and SFG continued with the Girly talk, and makes mention of re-location for GHC. Some discussion of the OOFG lead to reviews of picture quality that the camera used at the OOFG produces. Namely how much weight, and how many years, it adds, and how much hair it removes. Not to mention it's selective color transforming of hair follicles of one said member of the OOFG. We ended the week with a little paid advertisement for Ronco Spray on hair.
Exchange 5.5 question Quite a few super geek threads this week. And this one was the geekiest of them all. The regulars made a few halfhearted attempts to pull it off topic, to no avail. Far as we can reckon. AL_V got his server sussed out, added a few percentage points to his performance and all. Why, since he has all the porn filters in place, he would care about increasing bandwidth, I have no idea. If you ever wanted to know the ins and outs of setting up an exchange server, or you are having a hard time napping, head on over.
Office Flirt Speaking of Geek posts early in the week, some of the true blue geeks of this lot had a little debate about Linux going. Then Flashy happened to mention that he had forgotten his root password (I mean really, its not like it's important or nothing). Loads of krap about re-setting the root password and such. A brief dalliance into the verboten topics, including one addition by FlashyTrousers. Someday Mrs. Flashman will beat some level of fashion sense into him.
Funny that Newbie GUBSAN started a thread examining our lack of concentration, subject wise. He started a rather spirited discussion on Single malt scotches. Lasted for quite awhile. We performed a subtle techie transition for a while, and then returned promptly to the booze. Was also some discussion along the football lines, though few of us were interested in that line. Round robbined right back to the booze in the end.
Hehehe...do I have an idea for you... Mr. G posted some links to where he felt the Next OOFG should be held. Frankly this is where the forum went bad late last week. Talk of schoolgirls and the like. Many of the regulars got a little excited and all. You could hear the drooling and salivating all the way across the Atlantic on both sides. On the second day SDMAHANEY and Flashy brought the whole thread down, mentioning marriage and all (No not to each other), turned into a bloody support group by the end of the week.
Ah-duh people. Put your thinking cap on For some discussion on Red Stripe, earlier in the week.
Well that's all for this week. Hell of a lot of Posting going on this week. Lot's of newbies hanging around. Our glorious leader has been mysteriously absent as of late though. [I've been busy, Ed.]
