Seagate announces 5GB CF II hard drive

Pretty much a microdrive
Thu Jun 10 2004, 12:51
SEAGATE HAS ANNOUNCED that it will be producing a 5GB hard drive in the CF Type II form factor - essentially a microdrive.

The device will be available in both 2.5gb and 5gb versions, and will have a rotational speed of 3600 RPM. According to dpreview.com, it also features 'RunOn' technology, which looks like a buffering system used to avoid data loss.

A built-in variety of the device is also expected, probably for use with kit like MP3 players or PDAs. ยต
