Compact Flash goes to 16GB

Sandisk releases bigger faster drives

SANDISK has released two CompactFlash memory cards which can store 12GB and 16GB of material and manage speeds of up to 20MB/s.

According to MacWorld, the cards are designed for professional photographers who shoot RAW or high-resolution JPEG files. They will not be cheap, Sandisk said they will cost $779.99 and $1,049.99 respectively.

It will mean that the paparazzi can shoot a ton of pictures as the b list celebrities they stalk attempt to run away or punch them in the face.
