AMD goes asterisk crazy

Why bother having a price list?
Wed Aug 30 2006, 15:19
WE REPORTED back in February that AMD had removed its 100 series Opteron pricing and had replaced those figures with an asterisk.

And it seems that AMD's asterisking out of its chip prices continues. Sixteen percent of the chip maker's August 15 price list has now received the treatment.

Also, the 100 series Opteron model numbers have now been asterisked out as well. When will it end?

Having a price that doesn't show all the prices makes a mockery of having such a list. So why bother? µ
