EVGA makes first water cooler card

Black Pearl shaken not oystered
Wed Oct 12 2005, 07:50
AS WE predicted, new hire Wolfram Tismer has brought water cooling to EVGA. The company is planning to announce its water cooling series of product, and we managed to grab one of the first pictures available.

The cards will be branded under the name "Black Pearl" and the cooler looks black but is not made of pearls. There's some similarities to an Innovatek design used by Gainward.

It's still undecided how fast these cards will be clocked but we were told that we can expect 500+ for the core. Samples should be ready in two weeks so we will know more then.

EVGA plans to make an aggressive entry to European market and this is exactly what it is doing. No details on pricing yet. ยต
