AS NVIDIA CONTINUES its process of laying off 360 people by the end of October, it seems some upper level Nvidians are getting shifted around, too.
Nvidia, making its first layoffs in 13 years, purportedly in an attempt to reorganise and restructure company focus on products like Tegra and Cuda, now seems to be playing executive chess.
One particularly interesting move is the promotion of Ujesh Desai, formerly general manager of NVIDIA's GForce Graphics, to VP of product marketing.
Another is the apparent exile of Roy Taylor, former Veep of Content Relations, to Taiwan where he will purportedly be doing head-to-head battle with ATI’s John Bryne to win over the Asian market.
But as of yet it doesn’t look like ATI has much to fear. Sources say Taylor doesn’t even know what his new role is supposed to be, or even what his new title is. Watch this space and we might just find out before he does. µ

As I recall, your first scoop was the VP of marketing dumping on his CEO for giving a boring Keynote at the NVidia conference. I suppose he doesn't have to think about "job security" now. LOL!!!
