AMD Opteron 240 and 242 prices appear

WHILE HUNTING OPTERONS on the wibble wide web, AMDZone has managed to dig up some more prices. The latest ones to tip up are for the 240 and 242. They are pre-order prices but it's a fair guess that these will be pretty close to the final retail prices.

The prices for the 240 are $320.95 for the processor by itself or $343.95 for the boxed version. The 242 is going to be knocking out for $780.95 or $803.95. The prices are roughly equivalent to the 2.66GHz and 3.06GHz Xeons with 512K cache.
