Geforce 8800 series doesn't have a DX10 driver

Vista has to wait for next week

NATURALY we wanted to move from Windows XP G80 testing to a Windows Vista testing. After all G80, Geforce 8800 GTX and GTS, are the first DirectX 10 parts on the market.

Well, we couldn't, as the Vista driver is not ready yet. It will be not this week. You might say that Vista is still at Release Candidate 2 status but it as we know, it has already been released to manufacture.

Andrew Fear, a software product manager and the driver guy, is working hard to make this driver possible. We heard that if there are no major delays, the G80 Vista driver should be ready at some point next week.

Oddly, none of the reviewers were able to produce any DirectX 10 benchmarks nor games, and Nvidia still didn't handle Adriane demo to the press.

The G80, Vista driver is due in week 46, next week. µ
