MAYBE TAIWANESE firm Epox doesn't want to go to CeBIT this year, and is spicing things up a bit.

Because it's already pretty clear what the firm will be showing off in the famous Messes at Hangover.

EP-5EPA+ is Epox' marketing name for a motherboard using the Intel Grantsdale-G chipset with PCI-Express. This motherboard will support the yet to be announced LGA775 CPU. This board will apparently be on the Epox CeBIT stand, we understand.

Epox will also show off the EP-9NDA+ using the Nvidia Nforce 3 Ultra chipset and support for 939 AMD CPU, and four dual-channel DDR DIMMs, as the 939 Athlon 64 has a dual channel memory controller. It will also support Gigabit LAN.

Epox is also entering the graphics card market and hopes to offer more than a reference design. It will show three cards - the EF570 powered with the GeForce FX 5700, EF570E powered by the GeForce FX 5700LE and EF550 featuring the GeForce 5500. All three will support 128MB DDR DRAM.

Epox will also show two skeletal systems - the EX5-320S (Intel 865PE) upgraded version of the one we wrote about eX5-300S with the sliding front panel and Nforce 2 128 IGP powered EX5-320N, that's the one with a remote control. Epox will let people play on these machines, it appears.

Epox will also show off "embedded" boards for Pentium M CPUs - the IP-4MTP2G and IP-4MTI2H. They support the Pentium M processor using Intel 855GME chipset in different shapes and sizes Gadget support for LCD, VGA, Gigabit LAN, and audio on-board, it seems. ยต
