NForce4 is no more, here's the NForce 570SLI

CeBIT 2006 Top secret codes and SLI pics

CEBIT, the stupidly big European computer trade shindig opens up the doors to its massive hangars tomorrow.

The great and the good along with the humble and irrelevant in IT will then spend a week elbowing each other out of the way in order to slobber over the latest kit.

Somehow our Charlie has snuck in a day early and has been snapping stuff like there's no tomorrow. Those having to attend, rather than enjoy Charlie's pix from the comfort of their own home/office, can draw some consolation from the fact that Charlie is a pretty naff photographer. [Ed.]

THERE ARE LOTS of NVidia AM2 SLI mobos running around the show floor. Take for instance this Foxconn one, it was the first I found.

Then I ran into a Gigabyte GA-MXE-S4 mobo. This one is powered by the unannounced NForce 570SLI chipset. Oooh, bet you didn't realize that one was coming. The cards are a standard 7900GTX/512.

Last we came across the ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe mobo, also running an AM2 chip with SLI and the NForce 570SLI chipset. I guess we are going to be in for a rash of 570 announcements. In fact, guess what the series of the NForce4 successor will be called?
