£38 R9700 Pro is an entry level DX9 killer card

Bargains £13 PCIe Dual Monitor Quadro card

I AM NOT a gamer but if I was one, I would probably go for this one - especially if I am broke. The Hercules Radeon 9700 Pro is probably much better than most cards that you find out for the same price - £38+VAT. R9700 Pro core, 325MHz Core Clock and 310MHz mem clock. 256bit memory interface, DirectX9 compatibility and triple connection. A deal.

Looking for UK's cheapest socket 939 motherboard, then try this AGP based Jetway 939AGP motherboard. On its full ATX area, you'll find a VIA K8T800 Pro chipset, five PCI and one AGP slot as well as four storage controllers, onboard LAN, 7.1 sound controller and up to four audio headers. Price asked. £38.81+VAT.

On the other hand, if you are looking for a mATX PCI-e integrated motherboard, then ECS has a RS480 board on sale at £43.95+VAT. Ain't expensive. Gives you the Radeon Xpress 200 chipset with the X300 video module embedded - basically equivalent to the HM model, worth £15 alone; alongside, you get everything integrated - sound and LAN included.

Lastly, if you are still stuck with socket A and want to move to socket 754, try the Jetway A689DAS which comes with the M1689 chipset, AGP and five PCI slots. The rest is pretty standard as for the previous Jetway board. The price though is simply too good to be true at £25.22+VAT. Still from Techfever.

Lastly for those looking for a powerful low profile PCIe graphics card, look no further than this bid on Ebay. I've just purchased one for myself slightly dearer than this one. It is a Quadro based PCIe graphics card with dual monitors support. The current price, £12.99+delivery. You get the DVI to DSUB connectors as well as the passively cooled card. The NVS280 is approximately equivalent to a Geforce 4 Ti4200 and comes with 64MB memory.
