Brit PS3 buyers get free 46-inch tellies

And a taxi home
Friday, 23 March 2007, 12:26
CONSOLE NUTS who queued up to buy a new Sony Playstation 3 when it was finally launched in London just after midnight this morning were rewarded with a free 46-inch telly and a taxi ride home.

You'd certainly have trouble getting on the bus with such a monstrosity.

Over a hundred gamers received the tellies, according to reports.

Ray Maguire, head of Sony Computer Entertainment UK apparently told the Beeb the free telly was a reward for the patience UK games showed in waiting months for the gadget to tip up in Blighty.

There were around 200,000 units available to buy in the UK today. So far around 620 have turned up for sale on ebay. ยต
