Senior chip analyst repeats: "Apple lied"

Confabulation, transmogrification
Tue Aug 05 2003, 09:37
PETER GLASKOWSKY, a senior chip analyst who writes for the Microprocessor Report, has emailed the INQUIRER saying that our article about an article he wrote, "does not convey an accurate impression" of the "editorial it references".

Like we said before, he's accusing Apple of lying. But we think he's written us because he's also pimping for page views. He wants us to link to his "original editorial" to put his claims "in context".

The second paragraph of Peter's article describes some Apple claims as "simply not true", which in anyone's language means he's accusing Jobs' marketeers of confabulation.

Here you go Peter.

By the way, if clock frequency per se is essentially meaningless, why has it made Intel, AMD, DEC, Sun, HP and others - including the Microprocessor Report -- gazillions of dollars?

We don't see Peter's email address on the page - which is a shame. So if you have to email us about this, please don't shoot the herald. ยต
