AMD's black Ferrari is a drive through, shoo hoo

BEFORE THE SHOW, AMD had some goodies on display at their booth, even if we were shooed out before we got a chance to take pictures of them all. The ones we did manage to snap were worth the scoldings though. First and foremost is the Acer black Ferrari notebook.

Yes, the keyboard is really bent like that, but they feel just fine to type on. The surround area is a weird black finish that is semi-gloss, and adds to the high tech look of the notebook. The back, below, is a carbon fiber weave pattern. Overall, this is one of the coolest notebooks I have seen, it is beautiful yet understated. It makes more of an impact on me than the first one did, but it is not as gaudy. I want one.

In the wall of motherboards, there was one four way board that was not labeled, everything else had a name tag on it but this one. It had two north bridges and a few other uncovered chips. Upon closer inspection, it was clear that it was a Broadcom chipset, as pictured below. One year ago, they signed the deal, now there are products.µ
