WHENEVER AMD decides to roll out its next process generation "Thoroughbred" processors, some motherboard makers are absolutely ready to go with them.

According to a document we saw earlier today, Elitegroup (ECS), for example, has BIOS support ready for three speed revs of Thoroughbred.

The ECS K7S5A V1.x now has a BIOS update called s5a020206.exe, released on the 27th of February last.

This will allow the motherboard to support Thoroughbred microprocessors at ratings of XP1800, XP2100 and XP 2200.
