AMD codename of the day revealed

Mortal Kombat is upon us
Sunday, 3 June 2007, 12:54
WHILE WAITING FOR a plane to Taipei, and enjoying extremly fast wi-fi here at Hong Kong International Airport, we learned of an AMD codename for something rather interesting.

The codename is Raiden and you can expect that AMD is speaking about it only to a selected crowd.

This selected crowd is something new for AMD - the Raiden project apparently targets the telecoms folk of this world, and has something to do with IPTV and HDoverIP.

And no, it is not a processor or a motherboard or a "platform". It is, apparently, a box that runs Java software. ยต
