Five copies of Halo 3 sold already

Bungie gets Norwegian blues
Tuesday, 18 September 2007, 15:12
REPORTS ARE COMING IN in on the Norse newswire about how the former rulers of Ireland and the Orkneys have beaten the world to the release of Halo 3.

According to a Norwegian reader, a game store in deepest downtown Stavanger, a city built on herring, which explains the smell, started flogging the game over the weekend.

The store, with the ironic title Expert, managed to flog five copies of the game before someone twigged that they were selling the much hyped game two weeks before the release date.

The five have been tracked down by the Norwegian men in black from Bungie Studios and asked to keep their purchase secret and not to tell the media. They told them they could keep the game but were not allowed to pass it on or sell it for huge wodges of cash.

Apparently, you have to take these sorts of things seriously in Norway, otherwise you will end up pining for the fjords in a US cell or pushing up the daisies and joining the bleedin' choir invisible. µ
