I just discovered ScanCom website which seems to be an affiliate of SCAN computers, the well known etailer. Now they've got a number of items which I reckon will be of interest to our UK readers. They are selling a T-Mobile PAYG SIM card for only £0.49+VAT. It comes with free voicemail and is probably the cheapest way of getting a phone number quick. You might also want to buy that a Virgin PAYG which costs only £2.49+VAT but comes with a £5 free Airtime; giving you an effective discount of £2.07. Basically a "use and bin" SIM. Last, they are selling a Vodafone SIM with 12K off peak minutes and 600 free texts for one year at £30 only after a £180 cashback rebate.

Scancom also sells an O2 SIM card for business at £11.91+VAT per month. and you get a Free Dell Optiplex PC. The cost of calls is on the extreme size thought at 25.53p+VAT to non O2 mobiles, five times more than the competition. The free computer though might prove to be a sweetener. That dell Optiplex 170L is a mini small tower with a Celeron 2.6GHz processor, 256MB memory, a 48x CDROM, 40GB HD, keyboard, mouse and Windows XP. More importantly for a business, it comes with one year next business day on-site waranty.

More Business deals that includes a free Dell Optiplex PC. There's that Nokia 6610 from T Mobile which has a FM Radio, a digital camera and a colour screen, plus the free computer for only £305+VAT. A superb deal since you get 36K free annual minutes. The calls are only valid to Landlines or T Mobiles though. A Nokia 3120 on T Mobile with 36K annual free minutes will cost you only £259.99+VAT. The 3120 has no camera and is a rather basic tri band phone. . Your computer gets a more beefy 80GB HDD as well. µ
