Goodbye Vienna, hello seven
Monday, 23 July 2007, 08:49
SOFTWARE FIRM Microsoft's prototype of the next version of Windows, previously known by the code name Vienna, is being code named "Seven" and will be out in three years.

According to News.com, Vole mentioned Windows 7 publicly at a conference for its field sales force in Orlando.

After the fiasco which was the on again off again Vista launch, Vole is taking steps to establish a more predictable release schedule for the next release.

Windows 7 will ship in consumer and business versions, and in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. It is considering a subscription model to complement Windows.

We are not sure which of the seven deadly sins Windows applies to. We will have to ask Morgan Freeman. More here. µ
