Console Roundup Xbox 360 sold out in Japan

A SEGA BLOG writer has discovered and pictured the SEGA game archive. An impressive level of SEGA games, and other manufacturers, are kept and displayed, to the delight of Otaku everywhere.

PS3/PSP
The 80GB PS3 is expected to launch in Blighty a week earlier than anticipated. T3 reports that retailers will start shipping the SKU this Friday 22nd August - including Amazon and Play.

Acclaim boss David Perry has said that Sony will not be able to make any profit on sales of the PS3. At his keynote speech at GCDC, Perry claimed that the company has lost more money on the Playstation 3 than it made during the five year peak sales period of the Playstation 2.

Xbox 360
Not content with beating the PS3 sales figures in Japan, Microsoft has now allegedly sold out of the Xbox 360 in Japan.

Brutalgamer asks the question as to where the Xbox 360 IPTV features have dissapeared to.

At least you'll be able to play your Xbox 360 on cinema-sized screens in the near future.

Wii/DS
If you waiting for Rock Band on the Wii, you might be disappointed to find it's only coming out in the Nintendo 64 according to Amazon.

Microsoft Desperate

Having to resort to Nintendo tactics to sell consoles. Lets hide aload of 360's and tell people they can't have them, that will make people to want it more...

The difference of course, is the Wii is acually quite good a device for non-gaming audiences, the 360 is a white turd.

As for the PS3 wiping out the PS2 profits, you have to move aside the fanboy skin to see the real story, it's PS2 HARDWARE profits. Everyone knows the consoles are lossleaders, and the real money is in SOFTWARE sales, for which PS2 is making Sony megabucks still.

I think you should at least update your story to reflect that last point, as it's VERY misleading..
