BT Openzone strikes deal with railway "operators"
Thu Jan 22 2004, 10:18
BRITAIN'S RAIL network is in such chaos that last week a proposal was launched to change the time of train arrivals with built-in delays so the operators could announce the trains were on time.

And earlier this week the UK government - motto "execution, execution, execution", reality "disarray, chaos, misery" - announced yet another review of the railways, currently in the hands of the Strategic, read Tactical Rail Authority.

But fear not. While you're waiting for your train to Tring, to Taunton or to Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, if you've got a notebook with wi-fi, BT Openzone promises to allow you to smurf the Interweb while you're waiting.

According to Silicon.COM, here, wi-fi is coming real soon now to a British railway station near you. ยต
