Dell picks up AMD

Four way only though
Friday, 19 May 2006, 09:00
DELL FINALLY BIT the bullet and jumped on the AMD train, barely. They have picked up MP servers according to their financial statements, and confirmed by AMD.

This announcement raises more questions than it answers though, starting with 'why now?', closely followed by 'only?', and rounded out by 'for how long?'. These are not easy things to answer, all the tea leaves point toward a big Intel resurgence this year. What does Dell know that we don't? µ
