Open University adds to free online course materials

Don't just sit there, learn summat
Wed May 16 2007, 17:46
EXEMPLARY UK DISTANCE learning outfit, the Open University has begun bunging some of its course materials on the Interwibble. And most useful they are too.

To coincide with Adult Learners' Week, the institution has added some 509 hours of educational resources to its OpenLearn site. The materials are freely available to whomsoever fancies a butcher's.

INQ writers might like to note that the new materials include a practical introduction to writing fiction, including basic narrative strategies and plot and story-structure.

Others may be wooed by the IT and computing section which includes a neat nine-hour course in finding information on the Interweb.

Other courses on offer include object oriented programming for beginners and maintaining and evolving software. And that's something Voles everywhere might be interested in.

Don't just sit there, do summat. Start here. µ
