Microsoft Vista will be discounted

If it ever arrives
Tuesday, 22 August 2006, 09:37
SOFTWARE GIANT Microsoft plans to issue discounts when it launches its new super soaraway Vista operating system around Christmas.

According to Bloomberg, Vole is chatting with OEMs and retailers to offer discounted upgrades to its Windows Vista operating system to help bolster holiday sales.

The move is to plicate manufacturers who fear that they will lose lots of cash because Microsoft delayed the release of Vista until after the Christmas rush.

Amazon and AMD are apparently leaning on Vole to decide quickly on how or offer discounts for Vista. The software's delay will cause the PC industry to lose about $4 billion in revenue this year, according to Gartner.
