AMD introduced the chip -- its first 0.13 micron offering, codenamed Thoroughbred -- on June 10th, when it cost at $241, (247.59 Euros) in 1,000-unit quantities. Back then, it was offered in system boxes from the usual suspects including the New Age P and Fujitsu-Siemens.
This is the first time we've seen the processor offered box-less.
