Microsoft releases cheap Xbox games

Here they are pop pickers
Friday, 3 March 2006, 07:37
THE SOFTWARE giant known as Microsoft has slashed the prices of some of its top rated re-released games from $20 to $9.99.

Volish spinners are calling the cut price games The Best of Platinum Hits program and included amongst them are classics such as Counter-Strike, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, MechAssault, Project Gotham Racing 2, Soul Calibur II, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell and its sequel, Pandora Tomorrow, and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, Underground, Enter the Matrix, Fuzion Frenzy, Shrek 2, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six 3, and True Crime: Streets of LA.

It is the first time that consoles have had a range of discounted games below $19.99 and the question is what is the Vole up too?

One suggestion is that Vole has been getting a few complaints from retailers that there is a lot of idle stock hanging around on their shelves and they need more room for 360 games when they come available. Another idea is that Vole has a lot of stock sitting around since the 360 came out and needs the room in its warehouse.
