In order to see what is actually going on, we took a trip to Munich to meet with new General Manager for European countries and hear what is the new Mushkin plan for the future.
Mr. Zikria "Saki" Hoffmann currently lives in Karlsruhe, where the European HQ will be located and in a two-hour long discussion, we learned what is going on.
The recent cooperation between German water-cooling manufacturer Alphacool and Mushkin was an idea from Mr. Zikria, but this is only the beginning of initiatives from the European office.
A series of DDR2 overclocking modules features water-cooling blocks, but it is done in a very unusual way. Unlike other products on the market, these H2O-modules are very light, thanks to millimetre-thin blocks.
You can also use same modules without water-cooling pipe connected to the cooling loop. With every water-cooling kit, Mushkin is bundling a uniquely-designed Alphacool splitter. This splitter leads water to the modules and back, but does not slow down the flow of coolant itself.
Classical enthusiast kits are also coming to the market in 2x1 and 2x2GB forms, and the 4GB one we got for testing features 1066 MHz clock with CAS4 latencies. Mushkin is also looking into further expansion of the product portfolio. Expect some feathers to fly in the very close future, the performance RAM market just ticked up a notch. µ
