PSP gets Googled

You've got the whole world in your hand
Tue Jun 17 2008, 14:25

SONY'S PORTABLE games system gets a refresh in the next few days and the big news is that the ever-present Google has shouldered its way onto everybody's favourite waste of time.

PSP v4.00 update will include a new Google search function, directly in the XMB interface, which will fully replicate the way Google works in a full-size browser. For the first time, a search history feature will remember and recall your last 20 searches. As long as your near a wifi hotspot, of course.

The only other new feature which has been announced so far is the ability to change the viewing speed of videos streamed from a memory stick. µ

Sure hope that they fixed....

The cruddy web browser. Fair enough, it's better than the thing that PS3 users have inflicted upon them. But it's still a far cry from desktop browsers when it comes to compatibility.

That said, that 4.3 inch screen has beautiful color, which is I'm sure of absolutely no intreest to anyone googling images of anything....or anone.

PSP 4.0 will also have support for the GPS thingy for North America.

It's just a rumour.

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
