Norway's army gets SAP

Marches on its stomach
Mon Jan 15 2007, 09:21
NORWAY'S ARMY is investing in $48 million worth of SAP software as part of a logistics project.

The Norwegian Armed Forces has signed a contract so that Biggish Blue can supply it with SAP based software for its Joint Integrated Management Information System.

The contract includes software for accounting, management and logistics so it is not surprising that the Norwegian Parliament unanimously approved the Government's proposal to go ahead with the project, they probably could not know what it did.

The whole lot will be completed one year from now. Biggish Blue rolled out an SAP system for the army's accounting and pay sections that was successfully completed in 2003. More here. µ
