Lawyers and painters can soon change black to white - Danish proverb
Julie Amero, the former Norwich substitute teacher claimed that pornographic images on her classroom computer were the result of pop-up ads.
A Superior Court judge ordered a new trial for her on the basis that there were huge flaws in the case presented to the jury.
One of the biggest flaws was presented to jurors by the prosecution's expert computer witness who claimed that she could have only got the porn onto her computer by surfing for it.
But further forensic investigation into Amero's computer at the state police crime laboratory and a defence witness who had not been allowed to testify indicated that the pop-up porn was the result of spyware which had gotten onto the machine.
Judge Hillary B. Strackbein overturned Amero's conviction in January of four counts of risk of injury to a minor and ordered a new trial.
Amero faces 40 years in jail if she is convicted. More here. µ
