Begins with Potter-esque digital photo frames

GRAPHICS CARD OUTFIT Sapphire Technology is going all consumery with the launch of a line of Ddgital picture frames.

The firm is offering a range of DPF TFT LCD frames– eight-inch in 16:9 ratio with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels; eight inch in 4:3 ratio with a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels and a 10.2 inch model in 16:9 ratio with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

The frames have built-in amplifier and stereo speakers reproduce sound from video formats.The frames support MPEG, DAT and AVI Videos as weel as JPEG images.

Images can be loaded via the bundled USB cable or with the built in memory card reader. There's also a remote control with which to select files and display modes, including an automatic slide show feature.

The eight-inch frames cost £79.99 including VAT, the ten-incher
a mere £100, including VAT. µ
