Cointreau shortages begin to ease

But more seem destined for the EU than the US

AS INTEL PROMISED, availability of Core 2 Duos is now finally beginning to improve since our earlier report, with more retailers now showing the chips in stock.

Here's a quick revisit of the disties we looked at last time:

? OCUK has E6300, E6400, E6600 and E6700s now, but has sold out of X6800s
? Aria has E6600 and E6700s
? Scan have E6300, E6400, E6600 and E6700s, but again no X6800
? Dabs have E6300s
? However Misco, Insight and Savastore have not yet joined the Conroe club

If you go over to Dell, just like the chaps at HardOCP found a few weeks ago, there is still a long delay on the XPS700 series of PCs, but you can get hold of the Conroe-based Precision 390 workstations seemingly without the same problems.

Over in the US, NewEgg seem to have the lower speed grades in stock, but there's still not a great deal showing on Pricewatch, so either we're getting them first here, or American geeks are better at tracking them down and selling people out! ยต
