Sony Re-Create Manchester Catherdral, release a violent game inside it. The Church gets annoyed and they say sorry.

Sory use a song created by someone else, that is distrubuted by other people, and they pull the game and beg for forgiveness...

If it was a muslim temple in manchester that had a violent game, would they of pulled it... i think so.

Sony have just shown they care more about Muslims than Christians!

Sony have created more resentment towards muslims with the recall, and re-enforced the notion that muslims are prone to throwing their toys out of the pram whenever they don't get their own way.

How pathetic of Sony to bow down to this stupidity. Just because some fool wants to make a fuss to get his/her religion on the news again by acting all hurt and offended. Maybe the so called offended should consider trying other beliefs preferably ones that gives them a spine and strength of character, obviously Islam is not for them. I think it's disgusting that Sony have pulled this title 'cos it upset the Muslim's yet didn't bother to think about pulling the other game in Manchester Cathedral that offended Christians. Sony is being very racist towards this and should have pulled both games or none at all. 

I'm just glad I got an X-Box 360, I wouldn't ever buy a PS3 now after Sony's racist attitude. It is quite clear that Sony don't care how they upset European's - they offended us by using Manchester Cathedral in a game and never pulled the game, and they have constantly delayed distribution of their games consoles to Europe, yet when they upset the Muslims they quickly jump and pull the games.

For a start this isnt Sony's fault why does everyone blame the PUBLISHER and not the DEVELOPER Media Molocule is the dev here they put the dam thing in. And for Resistance: Fall of Man it was Insomiac that did it to that as well but as always it's the PUBLISHER who gets the complaints.

When it should be the dev's fault just thank your luckly stars Sony found this out 1st. Because as we all know upsetting Muslims gets out of hand and they'll start burning flags with PS3's on them.

Well if you were a Sony executive and some bishop from the church of england expressed disapproval that manchester cathedaral was being used as a virtual hunting ground for aliens you would not be scared. however if the same fury was created around the cartoons that caused riots and deaths then that is not good. Since Islam is a religion, not a race, causing offence is not being racist. If I don't like something I simply just don't buy it, or I take it back and ask for my money back. I didn't know anything about this game... and, thanks to the thoughtfulness of Sony in being so, accommodating to our easily-offended Muslim gaming population... I now do... This article started by hyping the game - am I the only one to suspect some free advertising here? and an excuse to delay it's release, to encourage excitement at its eventual release? Controversy is the greatest form of advert.

i am a muslim and i stongly disagree with what a lot of these people are saying. i do agree that the should have pulled the game that was made in the cathedral in Manchester. i do blame sony, i dont understand why everything has to come down to racism. it is always the minority that has to spoil it for everyone. there are terrorists in every religion. islam is just the focus at the moment. as soon as the 'commotion' dies down... someone starts it all off again... its a vicious circle we will never get out of.

If the game offends you then don't buy it! Simple. Muslims do plenty of things that offend me, and because I'm not a minority, my opinion doesn't count. Personally I'm offended that the song was considered in the first place, not because of the words, couldn't care less about them, I just don't think it suits the creative and cartoony theme of the game.

I was going to buy a PS3 and an X1 mobile for Christmas, but that is out of the question now! I'm not buying another product called Sony! Let's see how they fair among the muslim only market. They are already losing the game to X-box...

while i in no way believe that this game should have been pulled because of these "religious lines" in the song, i feel people are being oretty harsh to sony for not pulling resistance but pulling this.
lets bare in mind that all sony have to do for LBP is delete a song from the playlist for background music, hell they dont even need to delete the song, put for resistance we're talking deleting and remaking an entire level, which means months of level design, and beta testing. so i feel this situation is hardly comparable to resistance when you consider the amount of work that is needed
