HERMIT'S CAVE, which you can nearly always find here, is the discussion forum where adventure seekers of The Inquirer make camp. Almost any topic is fair game. Use the "Message Forum" link on the navbar to get there. Anyone can read anonymously as guests, but registration is required to participate. Registration is free and there are no intentional ads or popups. Note spammers and people asking technical questions WILL be used as live game during the annual Hermit's Cave safari hunt.

Here is what we've been on about lately.

Yule insanity, et al - Out in the northern midwest US many of the roads are icy, the weather horrible, and visibility down to nil. What does a normal sane person do? They go on a road trip! Or that is what our MS_IS_A_SUCCUBUS is going to do for the next couple weeks. Best of luck mate! Check in once in awhile.

Howdie doodie one and all! - KILLER_AP went on a bit of a walkabout for six months and somehow ended up in New Zealand. Now we can add a Kiwi to our ranks. Out of nowhere they post asking what's been going on lately. We bring them up to date and recommend clicking "Mark all as Read". Business as usual really.

NetBSD 2.0 - Someone mentioned that NetBSD 2.0 was recently released into the wild. And that is all I have to say about that.

Now for some business matters.

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
