Asus tries hand at similar tech to Abit OTES cooling

Nvidia attempted this before

IT TRANSPIRES that one of the biggest motherboard manufacturers, Asus, is having a go at technology which is similar to the motherboard cooling Abit uses, known as OTES.

We know that Nvidia unsuccessfully tried to introduce this type of cooling for its NV30, Geforce FX 5800 Ultra, but didn't do its homework well. It turned to be loud and ineffective and the Abit boffins and boffinettes simply could not stand working with Nvidia, threw their toys out of their engineering perambulator, and left the project.

Now Asus thinks there's some advantage to similar technology to Abit's motherboard silent cooling, as it finds it interesting. Asus named its cooling marchitecture Asus Stack cool and we will try to compare the two marchitectures soon. µ
