Vole IE7 and Firebadger have been offering technology that warns users when they visit a fraudulent site since October.
According to Forbes, it seems that Opera has caught up with the others with its latest free 9.1 browser. The browser displays a warning when visitors go to a site that may trick them into revealing passwords and other sensitive information.
Opera gets a list of bad sites from the PhishTank project from OpenDNS LLC. This asks users submit to PhishTank.com the messages they believe are scams. ยต
