A FRESH version of the Opera Web browser is following Firefox and Microsoft IE and offering some form of "phishing" protection.

Vole IE7 and Firebadger have been offering technology that warns users when they visit a fraudulent site since October.

According to Forbes, it seems that Opera has caught up with the others with its latest free 9.1 browser. The browser displays a warning when visitors go to a site that may trick them into revealing passwords and other sensitive information.

Opera gets a list of bad sites from the PhishTank project from OpenDNS LLC. This asks users submit to PhishTank.com the messages they believe are scams. µ
