I am a regular visitor at the inquirer, and i find it a very informative and even entertaining site, but must point out a very big flaw on your part: you continuously keep "flaming" pirates, and seem to poke fun at them at every chance you get? let me tell you a few of the facts, that you may not be aware of:
1) Every body is a pirate, every body has or has had a "dodgy" cd, divx, dvd, games, videos, and even mp3s thatthey dont rightfuly own, that includes YOU! (yes admit it, dont lie to yourself, every1 does), so when you poke fun at/degrade the "pirates" you are poking fun at yourself and ALL your readers, so drop the self righteous attitude, be smart, and dont diss the very ppl that make yu what you are and your site what it is. I know you cant praise it but u know what they say: "if u cant say anything nice, dont say anything at all".
2) It is the industry as a whole that is fraudulent, they make software and sell ir for extortionate prices. Let me give an example, take an average game, dungeon seige for example, it it being sold for £30. They have already sold millions of coppies, it takes pennies to make a cd, meaning the majority of the £30 i proffit. Say for arguments sake, they sold 3 million coppies, 3million x 30 = 90 million pounds. Do you think it cost the company 90 million ounds to make the game? even 1 million? i think not! if they sold them at reasonable rates, say, £3 per copy, why would anybody bother making a pirated copy?
And dont get me started with microsoft Windows series. Bet you didnt know the only reason they brought out XP was because everybody already had 95/98/ME and they wernt getting any proffit from them, so why nto bring out a whole new o/s and force ppl tp upgrade, hence renewing the income? As you may know, winXP is a joke behind it's so called stylish look.
So to sum up, get your head out of the big companies arses and get back to what you are good at, writing good articles. And dont diss ppl who pirate, they do it out of need, not because they want to.
I know you probably will never read this e-mail, alas i can say i tried. Farewell my friend, and if you do happen to read this from the many emails you recieve, drop me an e-mail and tell me your thoughts, everything you say will be off-the-record ofcourse.
