Americans want tracking chips in kids

A START UP said that US parents are interested in installing tracking chips on their children to know exactly where they are.

Steve Wozniak's and Gina Clark Wheels of "Zeus" promises to deliver a wireless system that will, among other things, let you know where your loved ones are.

Although they have not been specific on the technology yet, a spokesman told Mercury News that its company research indicates that parents want to know exactly where their children and teens are all the time.

The idea has been gathering momentum since Paramount's Great America theme park started giving children a wrist bracelet which wires into a central computer. If parents become separated from their children they can find them by going to a kiosk and waving their Star Watch over a reader. A screen will show them the location of their kids.

According to the Mercury News, American parents like the idea of knowing where their children are and the technology is also being tested in some of the bigger shopping malls. However the technology is limited from wider applications because of range.

If Wozniak and Clark have their way, parents will be able to tag their kids like cattle (in a loving way of course) and will know where they are through-out their lives.

Later in life paranoid controlling spouses also like to know where their partner is and they can tag them. Employers like to know that their employees have not snuck off to the pub and will tag them and Government officials also like to know where people are… Has the world gone stark raving mad? [yes.
