HALF A TERABYTE in a hard disk, 110 DVDs packed in a four platter HDDs. The Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 comes with 16MB cache memory supports Agere Native SATA2/300 interface, NCQ and hot plugging plus it is quiet and sports a low working temperature. Performancewise, while it is not a yellow jersey champion, coupling two of them in a desktop computer will get eyes rolling.

Who needs 2GB memory? That's a smart question from Gognet. Apparently, with Vista and new games on the horizon, 2GB will soon be the sweet spot. They therefore get to test the new OCZ PC4000EB Platinum Edition 2GB modules. Hidden underneath the grey Heat spreaders are Infineon memory modules and while the module's ratings might not impress many out there, its price should. Add in a lifetime warranty plus some cool features and you have a winner.

Want to buy a cheap but powerful motherboard based on PCI express and AMD technology? Check the Biostar Geforce 6100-M9 TForce. Quite a lot has been written on the Geforce 6100/Nforce 410 series; basically aiming for the RS200 series from ATI. It is quite affordable, offers excellent features for a mATX board, superb BIOS overclocking and quite stable. But you will have to get yourself a real graphics card if you're planning to get yourself a gaming rig.

HKEPC sent us what is the first real review of the S3 Graphics Chrome S27 video card on the internet. That card features a 700MHz core and a 700MHz Memory speed. It supports DX9.0 with SM2. The S27 will also integrated AcceleRAM technology which mimic the Turbocache/Hypermemory features. The 6600 DDR2 version still rules the roost and the S27 would probably challenge the 6200 but not the rest.

Like BIOSmagazine yesterday, Hexus reviewed the Dell 2405FPW widescreen LCD display. This 16:10 widescreen, 1920x1200 pixels captured the reviewer's imagination and he now wants to buy two of them. A 3840x1200 pixel array with a total of 48-inch diagonal can't leave indifferent, can it, especially at such an affordable price. What'smore, the 2405FPW can accept HD video over the Component Input connector, which is absolutely nice.

Bjorn3D has a look at the Thermaltake Powerstation 520w modular power supply. The PSU performed well under a variety of situations, even with a 50% overclocking. Dual PCI-e/SLI ready, dual 12v rails even if it is a bit pricey, this PSU should be good enough to feature in your top five purchase list.

Athlon 64 3000+ mobile are at their lowest price right now - $116 in US. I would like to know if any of you have dabbled with one of those babies and if they are as overclockable as the XP-M. Reviews would also be welcomed. µ

Authorities in several countries raided Megaupload recently, shut down all of its services, seized hundreds of servers and arrested several of its executives on criminal charges.

Do you think the move was justified?
