A BLOKE claims to have evidence that the glorious Apple empire, which can do no wrong, is spying on his share dealings through his beautiful Jobs' Mob Iphone.
According to UNEASYsilence, the bloke, who goes by the handle XianLi on this board was playing around with his Iphone share software when he found a strange URL in the Stocks.app binary.
After a bit of digging, XianLi worked out that his wonderful phone was letting Apple know which app he was using when connecting with his Iphone.
Since Steve Jobs already is blessed with the omnipotent knowledge of which IP address XianLi uses, it is also possible to find out the stocks companies he looked at. It can also track him around the around the world.
Apparently, Apple is very interested in the weather forecast you look at.
Having looked at the Apple licence UNEASYsilence found that all Apple licencees in the US had consented to this invasion of privacy as they queued up in the rain to buy the gadget.
In fact, Apple told them that it will store personal information relevant to the situation, such as their name, mailing address, phone number, email address, contact preferences, credit card information and information about the Apple products you own, such as serial numbers and date of purchase and information relating to a support or service issue. Apparently, this data also covers any shares you might have in rival IT companies and what you are doing at this precise moment.
Apple, following its usual policy of not talking to anyone who writes a bad story about it, does not seem to be interested in commenting about this yarn either. However it knows where XianLi is and is may well be sending out the Men in Pastel to eliminate him.

...you really are an idiot, aren't you?
that really sucks. Although it probably won't act as a deterrent in getting people to NOT buy one of these phones. People give up rights regularly in the USA for a false sense of security, so whats some personal info in Apples hands?

I'd like to see a poll done on if random people would actually forgo the Iphone over this, or at least go without a data package.
