Newegg lists AMD 65 nanometre Brisbane

A FRIENDLY reader told us that Brisbane 1.9 GHz clocked 65 nanometre CPU made it to the shops. Last month we told you that 65 nanometre chiups are scheduled for January availability. OEMs have had these CPUs since last month.

We think it might be very overclockable as the heat dissipation is lower than with the 90 nanometre core. The only bad thing is that the CPU must be bought in a combo with a BIOSTAR TFORCE 550 Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 550 MCP ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail. The CPU and motherboard cost $168.99, which is not that bad. Still many AMD motherboard owners would like to buy a CPU only and soon they will be able to.
