Silicon wafers carpet the planet

TRADE ASSOCIATION SEMI said silicon wafer area shipments grew by eight per cent in 2007.
Revenues for silicon wafers grew by 21 per cent, amounting to a hefty $12.1 billion compared to $10 billion in 2006.
The area of wafer shipments in 2007 amounts to 558.773076 hectares, said SEMI. µ
