Packard Bell Athlon 64 XP notebook close to release

alt='amdmobile' SOURCES SAID that Packard Bell will introduce an Athlon 64 notebook called the Easynote M3301 in week 47.

The machine, in Europe, will cost €1700 including VAT.

The grey/silver machine will include a 40GB drive, an Athlon 64 XP 3000+, have a 15.4-inch WXGA TFT screen, and use ATI Mobility Radeon 9000/64MB graphics.

It's got optical drives covering all the + and X angles, will come with 512MB of memory, include 10/100Mbit Ethernet, FireWire, S-Video, six USB 2.0 ports, one PCMCIA slot, and AC97 sound.

Software bundled includes WinXP Home, Word 2002, Photo Express 4.0 SE, Photo Explorer 7.0SE, Magix Music and VIdeo Maker, Tell Me More, Atarti Civilisation 3, Cyberlink Power DVD, Norton Internet Security and Antivirus, and Smart Restore Recovery.

It also has a four-in-one card reader and a wi-fi card, we understand. ยต
