FOLLOWING OUR STORY, entitled Yahoo caught censoring Open Sauce, some time ago, Yahoo!'s spin machine got in touch to clarify the situation.
It seems the open saucy comment to which we referred was removed by mistake. "Human error! has been blamed. Yahoo! was not trying to stifle open debate on open saucery. Indeed, the firm has since reposted the comment for all to see.
Furthermore, Yahoo! loves open source software as it's missive below makes plain:
"Yahoo! would like to make a clarification about the Inquirer Article (25th Jan 2008). We would like to clarify that Yahoo! is a leader in supporting free and open source software for building the next generation of Web services. Yahoo! is a Platinum sponsor of the Apache Software Foundation, is the leading contributor to the open source grid computing project Hadoop, and has been a strong advocate for the OpenID Foundation and community.
"The Answers incident whereby the user’s response was removed is un-related to our thoughts on open source. The removal was due to human error, and we have since reinstated the answer."
So there you have it. µ
't must have been 1000 people who deleted that... which is why they are being fired.
...isn't "Linux".

Nice of Yahoo! to put the message back, but they were still in the right. "Install Linux" is not the answer to every Windows problem.

Everyone knows "trash your PC and buy a Mac" is the correct answer.
