LITTLE SIS HAS JUST OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED its new 648 chipset for the Pentium 4, and Tech Report tries it out by putting it up against six of its closest competitors. They'll show you, they say, "just how this new chipset contender, which packs a wallop with AGP 8X and unofficial DDR400 support," stacks up. Check it out over here.

And there are three reviews of SiS648 on OCWORKBENCH. The ASUS p4S8X here, SiS's 648 reference board here, and Shuttle's SiS648 AS45GTR here.

Still with SiS, VR-Zone stuck up a review of the VINIX VX-3340 graphics card based on SiS Xabre 400. That's here.

OCWorkbench has a look at a Chaintech 7VJL Apogee KT333 mainboard, which they reckon is one of the best-featured boards around. Wibble over here.

Hexus.net has a review of ABIT'a BD7II-RAID mobo. Is a quad-pumped 533MHz P4 faster than the 400MHz Northwood A. Have a look over here.

Aussie Tweakers have posted a review of the AX4G Pro motherboard from AOpen, based on the Intel 845G chipset. Wibble down under here.

From tweakers to streakers, and thenakedreview has some specs and an exclusive pic (coo!) of the upcoming Iwill KK400 That's here.

Danish testers hardware-testdk say they have a QDI PlatiniX 2E-6A on their test-bench. "We compared it to the ABIT IT7 and two QDI boards," they say. "This board really rocks." Wibble this way.

And while you're feeling all European, German TuningTotal have cranked up a Pentium 4 chip to 3GHz, with plain old air cooling. That's here. And here's ze translation.

Right, in overclocker's corner, 3DVelocity check out a solid copper cooler from Thermaltake designed to fit the GeForce4 line of cards. That's here.

hardwareluxx take a Coolermaster ATC600 desktop case for a burn over here. You may need a translator.

Monster-Hardware tell us they have a review of the SunbeamTech Dual Inverter Cold Cathode, unique, apparently, in its ability to support two Cold Cathodes. Be amazed over here.

And here's a review of a Sunbeam Cold Cathode Fluorescent from TweakTown.

A while ago we helped Mikhailtech in their search for a new writer. It seems they found one and have given poor Jason Owens the job of producing a blowhole guide to the Antec SX-830. See how he copes with cutting disc and keyboard over here.

Octools has posted a review of Highpoint RocketRAID 404 Controller over here.

And over at Overclockers.com Ed Stroligo has a right bash at Toms HW and Anand for, "their Ho' ing" of the new Radeon. That's over here.

For a mention in these pages, drop me a line here. ยต
